Manhattan Model Miss December takes a bite out of the Big Apple
"I like to wear no clothes," says Sasckya Porto. "If it weren't illegal to walk naked in the streets on a hot day, I would do it. For me it's natural." We can only imagine the riot Sasckya would cause if she were to climb nude out of a taxi onto a busy street in New York City, where she makes her home. She lures all eyes even when she's fully clothed. The 23-year-old statuesque beauty stands five feet 10 inches, and that's without heels. When she saunters down Fifth Avenue, she doesn't so much walk as catwalk. And when she speaks, her Brazilian accent weakens the knees.
Yes, Sasckya ("sas-KEE-ah") is from Brazil. You've heard of the place. It's populated with supermodels who hang around tropical beaches, wearing bathing suits invisible to the human eye. The models have names like Gisele, Adriana, Alessandra. They are perpetually bronzed and always seem to be on the verge of arousal. In America they are the quintessential exotic beauties. As far as we're concerned, we have discovered the next Brazilian import. Sasckya was raised in Campina Grande, near Recife, a subtropical city perched on an arching blond beach. "I would trade Recife for Rio de Janeiro never!" she says. As a child Sasckya liked ballet and sports, but at the age of 13 she won a beauty pageant, and just like that she became a model. "I did commercials for Toyota and World Cup soccer," she says. "At 15 I started doing runway shows and left dancing and volleyball behind." When Sasckya was 17, her family moved to Boston, and she went to Boston University. She didn't like the cold, but she learned a lot about marketing, which she uses today in her modeling. "It's all marketing," she says. "I'm selling me!"
Why did Sasckya want to be a Playmate? "Why not?" she says, laughing. "In Brazil we are not ashamed of our bodies. I love nude beaches because you don't get any marks on your body when you sun. So for me to pose for Playboy was not hard. Don't get me wrong: Playboy is a classy magazine, the only one I would take my clothes off for." When asked if she prefers Brazilian men to Americans, she answers, "I like all men--Brazilian, American, Chinese, Japanese, all of them! I like to talk to Americans most; they are more respectful than the others."
Miss December says she wants to be a star. New York is full of people with fiery ambition, but Sasckya is different. Her beauty is obvious--even profound--but her personality is what will win over the world. The look in her eyes says it all: mischief, appetite, fearlessness, lust. She says she's ready for the spotlight or anything else that comes her way. "If you know where you come from and attention doesn't go to your head," she says, "you'll be fine."

Nebraska Knockout Marvelous Miss November has us on the ropes.
The state of Nebraska stands out for its beautiful spacious skies and amber waves of...Lindsay Wagner. No, we're not talking about the actress who played the bionic woman in the 1970s, although the 19-year-old Omaha native you see here has heard that rap her whole life and is cool with the coincidence. This Lindsay can't bend steel, but she's got a straight right that will have you seeing stars. "We have an Omaha Fight Club," she says, "and I'm a ring girl when my brothers compete. I don't fight, but I train in self-defense and practice with a lot of guys."
We caught up with Miss November at the gym, and from the moment her clothes started to hit the canvas, we found ourselves gasping for oxygen. She has a perfect athletic body, and outside the ring she is a gentle, sweet young woman with an infectious laugh and an all-American smile. She says she has dreamed of being a Playmate since she was in sixth grade. How did she get here? It all started one day when a makeup artist who worked for an Omaha photographer took notice while Lindsay was working in a tanning salon (she's also studying to be a dental hygienist). Soon she was modeling swimsuits and lingerie. A Playmate pal, Miss October 2006 Jordan Monroe, sent Lindsay's pictures to the magazine. The next thing Lindsay knew, she was on a flight to Los Angeles for a test shoot. She'd never been on an airplane before. Once in front of the camera, she blossomed. "I thought I'd never make Playboy in a million years," Lindsay says. "I'm confident in the way I look, but you know how girls sometimes have the feeling they're not good enough to accomplish something? When the shoot began, though, I was really comfortable."
As you can see, Lindsay is so hot she sets off smoke detectors. She's so hot she fogs up a room. She's so hot Al Gore could make a movie about her. Miss November has been having a lot of fun lately, hanging out with Playmates and attending Mansion parties. Nebraska's loss is L.A.'s gain.

We couldn't resist photographing Spencer Scott holding a peach. She's a Georgia peach if ever there was one. Succulent and sweet, she is all of 18 years old and dripping with charm. "I had braces and was rough-looking," she says of her early teen years, "but later I turned cute." We like to think of her as sun-ripened.
We caught up with Miss October at the Playboy offices in Los Angeles. She is what you'd call bubbly--prone to frequent giggling spells--and her blue-green eyes sparkle when she smiles. Spencer was born and raised in the tiny town of Dallas, Georgia. "When people hear Dallas, they assume it's Texas," she says. "My Dallas is very country and in the middle of nowhere, about a 45-minute drive from Atlanta." Homeschooled, she was taught to speak without a Southern accent, though she can turn the magnolia in her voice on and off at will. "Sometimes it's better not to have it," she giggles. She says she doesn't feel she missed out by not having a proper graduation or prom night. She did, however, join a competition cheerleading squad called the Georgia All Stars. When she wants to be, she's all pom-poms and team spirit.
Now that she's 18, Spencer has moved to L.A. with her Chihuahua, Dom. In the bright lights and big city she's pursuing her passion: acting. She has appeared on a pilot for the MTV show Singled Out (following in the footsteps of 1994 Playmate of the Year Jenny McCarthy) and tried out for a small part on Entourage. Not a bad start. Spencer's hoping her Playmate pictorial will alert Hollywood to a hot new talent in town. (Thus far only her family knows about her Playboy shoot. "It's going to be a big surprise to my friends," she says.) She also has a head for business and hopes to get a degree someday. She says she can see herself owning a spa.
As for guys, Miss October is still overcoming the culture shock of L.A. and misses Southern gentlemen. "A guy has to have manners, be polite and treat me like a lady," she says, the hint of an accent creeping in. "L.A. guys don't have it for me. I don't get starstruck, either." Speaking of stars, we see big things in this young beauty's future. Don't count on her taking that midnight train back to Georgia anytime soon.

Natural Beauty In Vegas, where nothing is as it appears, Miss September keeps it real
With a skyline dominated by a fake Eiffel Tower and a replica of the Chrysler Building, Las Vegas is the last place you'd look to find natural beauty. But that's where we discovered Patrice Hollis, a fresh-faced wonder whose curves are 100 percent God-given and whose heart is bigger than the Bellagio vault. In a city that jingles day and night to the tune of greed, Miss September works for a charity that helps abused and neglected children. Gambling? She has no time for it. "I work too hard to gamble my money away," the 26-year-old says. "I'd like to use my money from modeling to open my own charity." Patrice's other passion is poetry. "I started writing when I was in high school," she says. "I'm planning a book." Miss September spent her early years as an Air Force brat, living in Guam and then the U.K. before her parents split. Then she came to Las Vegas with her mother and older brother. When she was old enough, she began modeling. She has appeared on The Girls Next Door and in videos for artists like Mary J. Blige, Redman and 50 Cent. Patrice says she's hell-bent on making it the honest way. In show biz, she says, she's seen too many wannabes throwing themselves at rich men, trying to use sex to get to the next level. "I'm not that type of person, the one looking for an NBA player with all the jewels and money," she says. "I try to stay humble and down-to-earth. Playboy is a huge step. I'm so appreciative!" So are we. What we have here is that rare thing in Vegas: a win-win.

Sky's the Limit No chance of clouds in Miss August's future
Tamara Sky has been called the world's hottest DJ and "the turntable goddess," but we like to think of her as Miss August. Born and raised in Puerto Rico, the 22-year-old bronze beauty moved to Miami three years ago and discovered the city's sizzling nightclub scene. Listening to those thumping beats, she came down with a case of spin fever. Tamara practiced up to five hours a day for a month before landing her first DJ gig. Soon after, she met her manager, Dove, who booked her a second gig -- in Cancún. Miss August has since deejayed in Europe, Central America and throughout the U.S. She's always on the move, so much so that she doesn't know where home is anymore. "Coming up this year," Tamara says, "I have Dubai, Ibiza, France and South Africa on the agenda." She has also recorded her first vocal track and would like to try acting. "I want to do action movies," she says. "I'm into fighting and used to do kickboxing and jujitsu. I have five brothers, so I was always hanging with the boys. I'm kind of a tomboy. When I deejay, I have to dress like a girl, but otherwise I like to wear sweatpants and big T-shirts. I like to be comfortable and usually borrow pants from my guy friends." We suspect volunteers are already lining up.

Beach Blonde You won't find tan lines on Miss July
Tiffany Selby reclines by a palm tree, wearing naught but a hat and a strand of beads, a cool Corona chilling in her hand. She's blonde and sun-kissed, and being from Florida, she knows her way around a sandy shoreline. The 25-year-old model also knows the business end of a camera, having been crowned Miss Baby Jacksonville at the age of one. When asked if she gave a speech, Tiffany cackles. "I think I was afraid of the little prince who won with me," she says. "In the pictures I have this look on my face that says, 'Don't touch me!'"
Thankfully, Tiffany overcame her fear of both photos and fellas by the time she started modeling professionally at the age of 18. Now, as Miss July, she is in full blossom. Tiffany thanks 2006 Playmate of the Year Kara Monaco for bringing her to the magazine. The two met in Orlando and instantly clicked; now both beauties call Los Angeles home. As for her taste in romance, Tiffany says she likes to take a walk on the wild side. "I just had my ears pierced," she says, "but I had my tongue, nipples and belly button pierced before. I don't wear the rings when I'm modeling. Basically I'm a rock kind of girl. My perfect guy has tattoos and definitely has to have a sense of humor. I've modeled with pretty boys, and I get bored with them. Trying to get a conversation going with them is like pulling teeth. I like guys who are cool, laid-back and don't act like they are trying to impress."
As for material matters, Tiffany confesses to one indulgence. "I'm a girlie girl," she says, "so I have a bad shopping habit. The jeans I like are sometimes more than $300. I'd like to start my own jeans company for women someday." In the meantime she's busy acclimating to the left coast. "You need fun activities to counteract the stress from all the bad drivers," she says. "I like going bowling or swimming with friends. I'm having a blast getting a feel for this city. I'm a take-it-one-day-at-a-time kind of girl."

Sun-kissed Brittany Binger has just returned from a bodyboard adventure at Manhattan Beach, a short drive from her home in California. With her hair tousled from shore breezes and some grains of sand still visible on her coppery skin, she looks every bit the quintessential California girl. People tell her she resembles a young Denise Richards, which flatters her. But before the 20-year-old model moved to the Golden State last year, she was leading a less Pacific lifestyle on her parents' dairy farm in a small Ohio town. "I love animals," she tells us. "I used to wake up at five in the morning, follow my dad around and name all the cows." From the looks of her, Brittany's farm-girl days are behind her.
Miss June is a natural in front of the camera. "My grandma is a photographer, and she submitted my pictures to a modeling agency when I was 14," she says. Her exotic features--the result of a German-Cherokee heritage--as well as her love affair with the lens led to steady modeling work and a recent CSI: NY appearance. A few more TV performances and she'll have her SAG card. She may have quickly acclimated to her new environment, but Brittany is still a small-town girl at heart. "I'm down-to-earth, kind of goofy and a homebody," she confesses. "I don't go out to clubs. I was rowdy in my teens and got it out of my system. Now I'm the one who gets beeped at by irate people for driving too slowly."
Brittany's plans for the future: more work, more California sunshine and, someday, a family of her own. "What I want is to find joy in the basic things that are important," she says. With a head that wise atop a physique that luscious, there's little doubt Brittany will find all she's after and more.

May Flower Thank Howard Stern for bringing us this spring blossom
If you're a Howard Stern fan, you're already familiar with 20-year-old Shannon James. The fresh-faced beauty from Holland -- as in the small town outside Philadelphia, not the country known for tulips and knockout blondes -- appeared on Stern's show after a friend submitted some pictures of her in a bikini and said Shannon wanted to be a Playmate. Stern is no fool; he knows a good thing when he sees one. At first Shannon had reservations about being on the show. "Sometimes they tear people apart," she says. "I was scared. But then they told me Playboy Senior Photo Editor Kevin Kuster was going to be there. I had to take a chance."
It paid off in spades. Everyone adored Shannon. "I mentioned I wanted to get my chest done," she says, "and Howard said not to, that I have perfect breasts." Hear, hear.
This isn't the first time our favorite shock jock has helped a young woman fulfill her Playmate dreams. Stern brought Jillian Grace to our attention, and she became Miss March 2005. As for Shannon, she is indeed a well-rounded woman. She says her education is her top priority. She is working on her bachelor's degree in marketing and is considering a career in pharmaceutical sales. Her disposition is as warm as her smile is bright, and she describes herself as a good girl with a wild side. "I'm such a nerd," she tells us. "I love to cuddle up with a good book, and I have a huge collection of poetry I've written. At the same time, I'm always game for staying up until four o'clock in the morning or going to a party with my girlfriends in Old City in Philly, where we attract a good amount of attention."
In front of the camera Shannon has no inhibitions. "I've always been comfortable with my sexuality and my body," she says. "Half my sorority sisters run around naked, so there's no time to be shy." And her romantic life? Says the magnificent Miss May, "I've been both the committed girlfriend and the serial kisser making out with the world."

Giuliana the Great European goddess Giuliana Marino conquers America
World travelers may recognize this fabulously beautiful woman. Her name is Giuliana Marino, and she is German Playboy's Playmate of the Year for 2006. Hef met her in Munich on a recent trip and found her charm irresistible. "He asked me if I wanted to come to America to be a Playmate," says the 20-year-old lovely. It was an offer she couldn't refuse, and now she is Miss April.
You may be thinking, If Giuliana Marino is a German name, I'm a Wiener schnitzel. Actually, this bella donna is a full-blooded Italian but was raised in Deutschland. "I feel a bit schizo," she says in charmingly accented English. "When I go to Italy, I'm the German. And when I'm in Germany, I'm the Italian. Now when I'm in America, people don't know what to make of me!" Except a knockout, of course. Giuliana's ambition is to start a career in law enforcement and become a criminal profiler. "My uncle is a police officer in Rome in a special unit, and it sounds very exciting," she says. "I believe in justice. The police academy takes about two and a half years, and after that I want to be a young mom."
We can't imagine what Giuliana would look like in a tight-fitting police uniform, but suffice it to say there's not a man alive who could resist this arresting officer.

As Louisiana finds its rhythm post-Katrina, people are beginning to rediscover the state'ssignature Southern comforts: spicy cooking, jazz and blues, the bizarre beauty of BourbonStreet at night and those bayou girls who know how to go wild. Among the latter is24-year-old Tyran Richard--a self-described crazy Cajun from Zachary (just outside BatonRouge)--who has blonde hair, impossibly blue eyes and more curves than the mighty Mississippi.Don't get us wrong, she's no Big Easy. "I have all the morals of a Southern belle," Tyran tells us."It's very different down here for women than it is in other places. We cook. We clean. We'll bet the would-be ring bearer is kicking himself now. Tyran is going places. Not only is she pictured here as beautiful Miss March, she is also a working model. "I'm on a plane every weekend forsomething--the SEMA automotive trade show in Vegas or the lingerie company Shirley of Hollywood,"says Tyran. And when she's not working, this hottie knows how to cool off. She likes to kickback with her four dogs. She can whip up dazzling crawfish étouffée, crab and oysters. She's been water-skiing since she was four and is one dive away from getting scuba certified. "I got spookedby all these sharks in Miami," she says, "so I'm holding off on that one." As for the future, Tyranhas a bachelor's degree in criminal justice; she wants to be a judge or lawyer. What do we look for in a girl? Well, start with a free spirit. After that, beauty, brains and a certain athleticism rank high on the list. Mix all that up in one girl and you've got a winner. Take Heather Rene Smith, for example, our delicious Miss February. We don't need to tell you she's radiant and beautiful--her pictures do the talking. As for brains, the 20-year-old California native is getting degrees in forensic psychology and criminology, and she dreams of outsmarting crooks by living out CSI episodes in real life. "I like thinking about what makes people tick and why they act the way they do," she says. As for athletic prowess, suffice it to say that Heather used to be a competitive gymnast; flips and upside-down splits are all in a day's fun. She explains, "I started when I was three because I had a lot of energy." (Note: Add that to the list--free spirit, beauty, brains, athletic prowess, lots of energy.) "By the time I was 14, I was in high-level competitions. Gymnastics taught me how to react when put on the spot." Judges? A perfect 10!
When she's not studying or doing flips on a balance beam, Heather likes to tinker with old cars. She and her brother rebuilt a 1964 Chevy truck together, and now she's working on a vintage Camaro. "I know how to change the oil and different fluids," she says, "and basic tune-up things." (Free spirit, brains, beauty...you get the point.) She works as a waitress at Hooters, and she loves to hang out with her guy friends, preferably outdoors. Regarding relationships, "I haven't had a serious one in a long time," she says. "I need someone who likes to have fun and doesn't care about other people's opinions. I can be really loud and I talk a lot, so I may scare quiet guys away. I'm definitely not shy. I'm usually the one who approaches men." Advice for Mr. Right: "A concert is a good first date and a great way to get a feel for a person. I love rock, punk and country."

Girl from the North Country O Canada! Meet Miss January Jayde Nicole
Anyone who has traveled north of the border into Canada knows this chilly outback possesses a certain undeniable magic. We think of it as a mysterious muse that produces great composers (Neil Young, Leonard Cohen, Joni Mitchell), fine liquor (Crown Royal), crisp-tasting beer (Molson) and a unique feminine charm and beauty. Mix all those ingredients together, add a blazing fire (ideally in a fireplace) and you've got everything any man could ever ask for.
As for Canada's brand of beautiful women, Jayde Nicole is the perfect example. The intoxicating 20-year-old professional model from Ontario is herself a little mystery. "Both my parents were adopted, so neither has any idea where we come from," she says. "People have guessed that I'm everything: Asian, French, Hawaiian, American Indian. I don't know--I guess I'm just Canadian."
Jayde knows what it means to give everything to the camera. She once did a lingerie shoot outside when the temperature felt like -40 degrees Celsius. "They smeared glycerin all over my body to keep me warm," she giggles. "It turned out to be a cool picture." She also started her own modeling company to show off the local talent. "I look for models who are really polite," she says. "Pretty, natural girls. I wanted to put together a classy group of girls from my area so we could all work together." And when she's not working? "I take my teacup Chihuahua Pumpkin with me everywhere and spend as much time as possible with my friends, most of whom are men. I'm like one of the guys." We beg to differ.
