Rolling with Kia Miss December will spin you round like a record, baby
Although clearly a wonder of womanhood, Kia Drayton knows how to get in touch with her masculine side. "I'm a tomboy who grew up around a lot of boys," she says. "I have many guy friends because I love sports and manly things, like Harleys. And sometimes these friends want to take it to the next level, but what can I do? I'm kind of torn, but I don't know how to ice down." Which is all for the best, since this 23-year-old mix mistress spends her nights generating plenty of heat on the dance floors of Atlanta. "When it comes to getting on the turntables, I have an alter ego," she says. "I'm not just Kia--I'm DJ Jazzy Belle. Some people see me as a model who has just taken up a new hobby, but I prove them wrong. I've been collecting since I was eight and have more than 20,000 records in my garage."
Miss December had to tote that collection all over the country when she was growing up. "My dad was in the Air Force, so I spent a lot of summers wherever he was stationed,"she says. "It was hard for me to make friends because I was always the new girl." Part African American, part Polynesian and part Cherokee, Kia says she got picked on as a child for looking different. Now she is comfortable in her own exotic skin and declares that she is an unapologetic flirt. When we ask her to tell us the difference between a flirt and a tease, she laughs and ponders the question. "How about if I say from a flirt you might potentially get it, but from a tease you definitely won't?" This is the best thing about hanging out with Kia--she's relaxed and fun, and she puts everyone at ease. She also has a big heart and is hoping to plan a fund-raiser for the Make-a-Wish Foundation this Christmas. Kia's personal holiday wish, however, is to get married and have lots of kids. "My grandparents have been married for 60 years," she says. "My grandfather says that every time he looks at my grandmother he falls in love all over again. I want to find that love."

Southern Comfort A few shots of delectable Miss November
You look at this woman and think, Yes, she is beautiful. She is sexy. But she is so much more than that. We're willing to wager that in the time it takes to read this short article, you will fall in love with Miss November Sarah Elizabeth. She is that kind of girl: You spend an afternoon with her and find yourself wanting to spend every afternoon that way. Let's start at the top.
Sarah was born in Phoenix, Arizona and lived there for most of her 23 years before moving to Panama City, Florida three years ago. "I moved here because I wanted a more laid-back vibe," she tells us. "The sign on the highway into town reads, THE WORLD'S MOST BEAUTIFUL BEACH, and it is. The sand is white and like sugar. The water is emerald green and blue, and when you're in a boat, you can see dolphins swimming underneath you. It's paradise." In some respects, Sarah is a perfect tomboy. She likes to spend her days in the water, throwing a football. She can play poker with the best of them, and as a matter of fact, she has a few tricks up her sleeve -- when she's wearing sleeves. Sarah considers deep-sea fishing one of her great passions. (No, we're not making this up.) "I've never caught anything big, like a marlin, but I've reeled in grouper, snapper, king mackerel," she says. "People don't want to take me fishing, though, because I like to catch and release." She cares about the fish! We adore this girl. But it gets better. After a day in the surf Sarah heads to her favorite beach dive. "I walk in and I don't have to tell them what I'm ordering," she says. A cold beer lands in front of her in seconds. "There's never more than 10 people in there. I walk in wearing jeans and flip-flops, with my hair in a ponytail, and put $5 in the jukebox. Then I'm good to go."
Miss November may be casual off the clock, but when she's working she's all business -- sort of. She says she loves modeling and is as comfortable nude in front of a camera as some people are alone in the shower. "I'm a very sexual person and comfortable with my body," she says. "Modeling isn't work to me." You get the feeling she hangs out at her place looking as she does in these pictures even when there's no camera around. And when she's not working or lovingly releasing Moby Dick from a lure? Sarah would like to go to a game. "It's a five-hour drive to Atlanta," she says. "Maybe when the Braves play the Diamondbacks, my team from Arizona, I'll drive up there in my Diamondbacks attire and get booed."
So let's add this up: She's a "very sexual person" who loves cold beer, deep-sea fishing, ball games, more cold beer and a hand of poker. We told you you'd fall in love.

Class Mate Miss October is quite the college sweetheart
There must be something in the corn in Nebraska. The state of pure plains and classic triple-option football produces a bounty of natural beauties, though perhaps none finer than Jordan Monroe.
When this Cornhusker junior first walks into a classroom, you notice, well.... "Honestly, I know it's my boobs," she says. "It's okay, though, because they are real. They actually just developed a couple of years ago into these 34DDs, so I am still getting used to the attention." Then you spot those flowing brown locks. "I dyed my hair blonde once, but I didn't like the way it made me feel," she says. "I prefer to stay all natural." And then there are those warm eyes and the comely smile that enchants as Jordan demurely mentions that her shoot for this layout brought her to the City of Angels for the first time. "I was awestruck by all the traffic, people and stores in Los Angeles," she says. "I think we have only two malls back home."
Jordan grew up an hour away from the University of Nebraska and stuck close to home, staying in state for college. "I am a Nebraska girl," she says. "I think I could handle L.A., but all my family and friends are in Nebraska. I'd also miss going crazy with Husker Nation during the football season." A life in the heartland with a steady guy and lots of gal pals seems like a great vision for Jordan's future. But we don't know--something tells us this dashing beauty is going places.

Achtung, Baby Miss September is the best German import since beer and the Benz
Strolling the beach in Santa Monica with Berlin native Janine Habeck, we immediately think that this fine fräulein represents a well-articulated argument for the value of immigration. Although she was named Germany's Playmate of the Year 2005 in our sister publication and appeared in our July issue's World Soccer Team lineup, the 23-year-old has long dreamed of becoming an American Playmate. "This is only the second time a German Playmate has immigrated to American Playboy," she says proudly, delighted to follow in the footsteps of Ursula Buchfellner, Miss October 1979.
Born in West Berlin to a German father and an Italian mother, Janine vividly remembers seeing the fall of the Berlin Wall. "I felt like I was a part of history," she says. And even then she was thinking about America. Suffice it to say that when she finally got here, she arrived in style. "I'm living at the Mansion and love Hef and his girlfriends," Miss September says. "We're all really close."
As for her love life, "At the moment, I don't have a boyfriend, but I am looking," she says. "A guy has to come to me, though, because I'm a princess." She likes to travel to exotic places for romantic vacations. "I used to date a football player--you'd call him a soccer player--and we went to Ibiza. It rained the whole time. We stayed in bed and ate lots of ice cream. Now that's what I call a romantic weekend."
What lies ahead for Janine? As she gazes at the Pacific she confesses her love for California and the possibility of her relocating here. "I am my own management," she laughs, suggesting she could offer young models guidance she never had. "In the immediate future I want to learn more English. I like the people here, so maybe I can stay and become a citizen. Why not?" We're all for it.

Nicole, Naturally Miss August snapped herself and caught our attention
One sultry evening not long ago, while alone and seminude in a small room in a house in Athens, Georgia, beautiful Nicole Voss decided to take matters into her own hands. The 23-year-old set up a camera on one side of the room, fiddled with angles and began photographing herself, intending to send the fruit of her labor to Playboy. "I had to hit the camera's timer button, count to 10 and hope for the best," she remembers. "I tried to imitate a pose from one of the issues, so I took quite a few shots, running back and forth. I'm so critical!"
Nicole's dash-and-pose approach caught us by surprise. Her stunning features--a blend of Greek and Swedish heritages--and her feminine charm are irresistible. We flew her to Santa Monica for a shoot, and the happy results sit before your eyes.
Miss August grew up a tomboy in Florida, playing sports and making mud pies, but now as a young woman she says she's embracing her "girlie-girl side." When we caught up with her, she had just moved into her new home in Athens and was in the middle of renovating it. "Home & Garden Television is my friend," she says. "I just started planting a veggie garden, some flowers and lavender. I had an impressive kiwi garden, but when I was having some land cleared, the guy totally bulldozed my kiwi bush. It's a sore subject." When she's not alone photographing her beautiful body, Nicole dabbles in real estate, and she travels to Sweden a couple of times a year to visit her mother. As for her sense of humor, she says she's no angel. "I can be very sarcastic, but I'm a good sport. You have to be. If you dish it out, you have to be able to take it. And believe me, I can dish it out."

Flower Girl Miss July blossoms before your eyes
Avid Playboy readers already know what Sara Jean Underwood did last summer: The angel-faced 22-year-old posed for the October 2005 issue's Girls of the Pac 10 cover. What the native of Scappoose, Oregon didn't anticipate was the reaction at her college, Oregon State University. "Maybe it's because I wear a baseball cap and sweatpants to class, but I didn't know other students knew I existed," she says. "Now they come up and hug me and ask me to sign the magazine."
After she graduates this year, with a degree in business marketing, Sara and her best friend plan to celebrate by backpacking through Europe. "I'm a spontaneous, outdoorsy type who has traveled a lot, but Oregon is the perfect place to live," she says. "I love its greenness, fresh air and beauty. I like to ride my horse up a trail to this beautiful spot where you can see four mountains on a clear day. I go there when I'm stressed out or sad--as long as it's not hunting season."
Most refreshing about Miss July is her utter lack of artifice. When you look into the warm hazel eyes of this sweet-natured girl next door, you find no pretense, cynicism or delusions. "My happiness comes from being at home, whether it's with my mom and dad or, I hope, with a romantic interest later in life," she says. A sensitive manly man who loves the outdoors is the fella apt to win her heart. "I like the genuineness of shy guys," she says. "Girls can shave their legs and spend time thinking about what looks good, but I want a guy to just grab the first clothes he sees in the morning and be natural." Like most prizes, Sara can be won only with some effort. "I find peace and solitude in being alone. It's when I'm at bars or clubs that I get bored," she says. "Is there something wrong with me?" We can't think of a single thing.

All The Right Steph Don't be late for your date with Miss June
A full hour before our interview is scheduled to begin, Stephanie Larimore, a beautiful brunette with a heart-shaped face, is smiling and ready to go. How appropriate: This is a young woman who seems congenitally incapable of ever being late. "I was a preemie, born two and a half months early," she says. "I was one of those miracle babies and weighed only two pounds, three ounces at birth. Now every spring I do charity walks for the March of Dimes in support of premature babies. And yes, I am early for everything."
Climbing into a classic photo booth, Stephanie says she's reminded of similar booths that are fixtures of the small-town carnivals that pass by her home in Fishers, Indiana. As she mugs playfully, it's clear the 25-year-old knows her way around an aperture. Playboy.com Cyber Club members voted her Cyber Girl of the Month last May, and she recently appeared in the Vixens Playboy Special Edition. "Idreamed about being a Playmate every night after becoming a Cyber Girl," she says. "Then it just happened, and I was jumping around and doing cartwheels."
Since we encourage this kind of activity in beautiful women, we ask Miss June what else makes her jump for joy. "The Indianapolis Colts," she says. "I go to every game I can, and I need a guy who enjoys that too. He should wear Colts jerseys with me, as well as paint his face and dye his hair blue for the games." She looks at us with a wide grin and waits for us to call her on it. "Okay, I'm just kidding. I may paint a number on the side of my cheek. But I love to hang and flirt with the guys." When absent from the RCA Dome, Stephanie enjoys a quiet night at a lounge with close friends. "I'm not the crazy girl who starts dancing on top of the bar," she says but then reconsiders. "Well, I've calmed down. I used to be a go-go dancer, and once I was doing a choreographed dance on the top of a bar. I was wearing little Daisy Duke shorts and a cowboy hat. As soon as I started, I slipped on some ice and fell into the ice trough. It was the beginning--and pretty much the end--of my go-go-dancing career." Stephanie has since worked in a plastic surgeon's office, for Hawaiian Tropic and as a Miller Lite girl. She's currently taking acting lessons and hopes one day to open a private spa, perhaps in Los Angeles. One place she is in no hurry to get to is the wedding altar. "I'm not ready to commit myself yet," she says. "I think it's important to know who you're going to marry, because you want to make sure it lasts forever."

Ideal Waite Miss May is a subject worthy of advanced study
She's youthful, vibrant, full of energy and about to graduate with a master's degree from Playboy-accredited party school San Diego State University. The last subject you might guess 24-year-old Alison Waite would specialize in is gerontology, the study of aging--that is, until you hear about the super octogenarian who inspires her. "My grandmother is my number one supporter and has always represented fun in my life," says Alison. "This is a woman who wore pink hot pants to my mom's graduation and has a sweatshirt that reads, How The Hell Did I Get This Old? When I was in college my grandma would send little packages to me at the dorms with holiday-themed thongs or G-strings inside. She got a kick out of it. I got into this field partly because I think it's very important to live a full and meaningful life by continuing to do the things we enjoyed when we were younger."
Although studies are her top priority, Miss May admits with a mischievous grin that it wasn't always so. "In high school I was more preoccupied with boys and didn't apply myself," she says. When asked what a man needs to lure her away from her books, Ms. Waite is quick with a reply. "I want someone to challenge me and make me want to be a better person--someone I can have a conversation with. And there's something sexy about a guy who can cook, because I like to eat. I don't care if it's just an omelet." As it turns out, food has been good to Alison; waiting tables at Hooters not only financed her way through college but also got her into a Playboy Mansion party. There she met Kimberly Conrad Hefner, who lives next door to the Mansion and remains close to Hef. "She asked if I was a Playmate, and I said I was just there for the evening. She smiled and said, 'Oh no. You should pose.' She set up a meeting, and here I am. What afluke coincidence! I think she is phenomenal."
Our cover girl explains that she likes to work hard and play hard and that this balance is the key to life. "I can't do anything halfway--it's all or nothing," she says. "My way of relaxing is to go to the beach with my pug, Makoa; his name is Hawaiian for 'courageous warrior.' " As Alison happily plays in the sand with her little warrior pup, we can't help but think that this insightful, down-to-earth young woman will, like her grandmother, be content at any age. Still, when we ask her when she would stop the clock if she could take a magic pill that would keep her the same age forever, she doesn't miss a beat. "Right now," she says. "I'm just thrilled about this ride I'm on."

Holley Goes Lightly Miss April provides a little Southern comfort
It's easy to lose track of where you came from in the City of Angels, but recent transplant Holley Ann Dorrough's Southern roots run deep. "Besides my family, I miss my sweet tea," says the even sweeter 19-year-old Alabama native and aspiring pop singer. "I guess I consider myself a Southern belle. To me that means a cute girl who gets along with everybody and aims to please." Holley has an irresistible Southern charm that instantly impressed Hef. "I got on the guest list for the Midsummer Night's Dream party at the Mansion and happened to be standing at the entrance when Hef walked in," she says, smiling. "I said to him, 'Hi, I'm Holley, and my pictures should be in your office. So heads up--I'm your next Playmate.' I had to do it!" We love a woman who knows what she wants and isn't afraid to ask for it. Romance-wise, Miss April likes old-fashioned, down-home fun. Southern food is her specialty--corn bread, fried okra, chicken-fried steak--and she'd rather cook a meal for her date and cuddle on the couch than get dressed up and hit an expensive restaurant. Still, she does have one material wish worth mentioning: "I want a pink 1960s convertible with a white leather interior and PLAYMATE stitched across the backseat in pink." The Full Monica Miss March delivers the whole package
We predict an influx of tourists to Long Island, given the area's recent Playmate population increase. First came Miss April 2005, the fabulous Courtney Rachel Culkin. Now her longtime friend and sometime roommate Monica Leigh is showing us how they help keep New York beautiful.
"I grew up with Courtney, and we've been best friends since I was 13," Monica says. "As a teenager I was always hamming it up for the camera, jumping around in the background and making sure I was in every picture. And I've always loved being naked. I used to run around the house nude, being the exhibitionist. But I got a little shy about trying out for Playboy. Courtney pushed me to do it because she loved it so much."
Monica has no regrets. Her long-standing fondness for flashbulbs has paid off. She landed the cover of our College Girls special edition and became December's Cyber Girl of the Month before Hef chose her as Miss March. Monica comes alive in front of the camera, and she does what it takes to get the perfect shot. Take the photo of her and her sister Sheryl posing in front of the Statue of Liberty. "For that one shot we went back and forth to Ellis Island on the ferry about seven times. It was hilarious."
You'd better be laughing too, because this 24-year-old future dental hygienist is dying to see your choppers. "I am obsessed with teeth," she says, leaning in to dazzle us with her own majestic molars. "I look at everybody's smile. I can't say I would never date a guy with bad teeth, but I'd have him get them fixed!" Speaking of men, Monica says, "I like a man who works hard and has an artistic side. He has to be a free spirit, adventurous like me, willing to get crazy and try new things." When we ask Miss March about her best date ever, it doesn't surprise us that it involved high speeds and free-falling. "I once told this guy that I wanted to try skydiving, so he took me," she says. "Once you jump, it is such a weird feeling--so beautiful and peaceful."
Down on earth Monica fulfills her need for speed by snowblading with pals but likes to slow things down when it comes to her first love, singing. "I like to sing love ballads in the style of Celine Dion and Shania Twain," she says. "I'm going to try out for Making the Band if they do that show again." She pauses and stares at the heavens for a moment. "You know, I started looking at life differently after my mom passed away. She was a fighter, and she helped me realize that you can't just sit back. You have to go after the things you want, and you have to look on the bright side and stay positive. I should have been around in the 1960s because I feel like such a hippie. I just want to make people smile."
She's doing a good job, don't you think?

Beauty & the Beach No matter what the weather, the sun is always shining on Miss February
You know life is good when a Playmate kicks off her interview by peeling back her clothes. Cassandra Lynn doffs her duds to show us the five tattoos she has on her sun-kissed body--all of them butterflies. "My good friends call me Butterfly," she says. "I started getting the tattoos at the age of 18." She says she just likes butterflies, but we're reading a little more into it.
Right around the time she got her first tattoo, Madame Butterfly spread her wings and flew from her native small town in Utah to Newport Beach, California, where the sun always shines and the sandy beaches beckon. She went to beauty school, but before her career as an aesthetician could get rolling, she started getting noticed for her own looks. Now, as Miss February, Cassandra is gliding along in the loveliest way. She's also building a modeling career and working as a Miller girl. "I go to different bars and try to convince people to switch to Miller Lite," she says. "I do taste challenges, and my beer usually wins." We cannot imagine why.
Cassandra's sea-blue eyes mirror her affinity for ocean play. Tailor-made for a two-piece, she recently placed in the top 20 at a Hawaiian Tropic suntan oil pageant, and she's an undisputed winner when the bikini comes off. "I love to run around the house naked," she says, laughing. "It's natural." She was on the diving team in her high school, and she loves to scuba dive. "My favorite spot is Kona, Hawaii, where the lava tubes are so pretty," she says. "I'm not afraid of sharks or anything like that, but I don't like to touch the bottom." Although the 26-year-old beauty is in her element in a swimsuit, she's not afraid of the cold, either. She still goes back to Utah to snowboard in the winter.
So let's get this straight. She dives in Hawaii, snowboards in the Rockies, spends her days in a bikini on the beach and her nights in bars? Now that's our kind of girl.
Since she is Miss February, we ask Cassandra to describe the most romantic Valentine's Day she can remember. She thinks for a moment, then says, "I have this friend, and he had my spare set of house keys. When I came home that night, the house was clean, the laundry was done, and he had roses spread out everywhere. He had a sheet laid out, candles lit and fondue all set for me. We had been just friends, but this guy pulled a lot of fun stuff out of his bag of tricks." By the look of her devilish grin, we're guessing Cassandra has a few tricks of her own.

The Goddess Athena Miss January, the sexiest girl next door
Athena Lundberg is named after the Greek goddess of war, but it's instantly apparent that this 19-year-old California native is a lover, not a fighter. Take, for example, her thoughts on New Year's resolutions: "I don't like making them, because no one ever sticks to them," she says. "I don't know. Maybe I'll make a resolution to hold up on the sex a bit. I'm like a nympho or something. I try to get it every day when I'm with someone." Or her love of nudity: "I'm always naked around the house, or just in a bra." Or her youthful joie de vivre: "I'm not scared to do anything. Roller coasters, skydiving, eating worms--bring it on! I love riding fast on horses and would do it every day if I could. I think I'd win on Fear Factor." We wouldn't bet against her. Miss January's winning spirit and confidence in her sex appeal made her a shoo-in on Playboy TV's Sexy Girls Next Door contest. The competition was tight, but Athena's stunning blue eyes and disarming smile blew our judges away. Her winning secret? Whenever you see paparazzi jockeying for a shot, start taking off your clothes. Get your cameras ready, boys! But don't worry; Athena's success hasn't spoiled her yet. "I don't want people to think that being a Playmate has gone to my head," she says. "When I look at an issue, I think, I don't even compare with those beautiful girls. I still don't believe it. When I see my picture in the magazine, then I'll be happy." That's one holiday wish we're pleased to grant.
